Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh launched Bharat Tex 2026, one of the world's largest textile trade fairs, to be held from July 14 to July 17 at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The mega expo is expected to bring together over 3,500 business exhibitors and more than 7,000 international buyers from over 140 countries, along with around 1.3 lakh trade visitors, positioning India as a leading hub of the global textile trade.
The event is organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF), an umbrella body comprising 11 textile-related Export Promotion Councils and other industry organisations, with the support of the Ministry of Textiles. By uniting these councils under a single platform, the fair aims to showcase the strength and diversity of India's textile ecosystem to a global audience.
Bharat Tex 2026 will display the complete textile value chain, from fibre and yarn to fabrics, garments, technical textiles and sustainable innovations. The exhibition spans a wide range of sectors including apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, handicrafts, handlooms and advanced manufacturing, offering buyers and investors a comprehensive view of Indian textiles.
The expo is aligned with the Prime Minister's 5F vision — Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion, and Fashion to Foreign markets — under the Make in India initiative. By linking farmers, manufacturers and global markets, Bharat Tex 2026 seeks to strengthen India's textile exports, generate employment and attract investment.
