On March 19, 2026, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma flagged off 207 new buses for Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC), strengthening the state's public transport network. During the event, CM Sharma also distributed ISI-marked helmets to 700 women road safety ambassadors, reinforcing the state's road safety awareness campaign and encouraging widespread helmet use.

On the same day, CM Bhajanlal Sharma officially launched the 'Chief Minister's Developed Village–Ward Campaign', which will run from March 19 to May 15, 2026. The campaign aims to prepare comprehensive development plans for every Gram Panchayat and urban ward in Rajasthan based on local needs and public suggestions. The Chief Minister urged Anganwadi workers, elected representatives, and citizens to actively participate and submit their suggestions.

The campaign is aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) vision, translating it into a state-level grassroots initiative. Village and ward master plans will integrate inputs from the Gram Sabha and urban ward committees to prioritize infrastructure, health, education, and livelihood projects. This bottom-up planning approach reflects the principles of decentralized governance under the 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments. RSRTC's fleet expansion also directly benefits rural Rajasthan, where inadequate bus connectivity has historically restricted access to markets, hospitals, and educational institutions.
