The e-Shram portal, India's national database for unorganised workers, crossed 31.42 crore registrations as of December 2025. The Ministry of Labour and Employment announced that the portal has been upgraded with multilingual functionality using MeitY's Bhashini project, expanding from 4 languages (English, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi) to all 22 scheduled languages.

The e-Shram portal was launched in 2021 to create a comprehensive database of unorganised workers including migrant workers, gig and platform workers, street vendors, domestic workers, agricultural workers, and construction workers. The data facilitates targeted delivery of social security benefits.
