The 13th India Skills Report 2026, released by ETS in partnership with CII, AICTE, AIU, and Taggd on November 14, 2025, showed India's employability rose to 56.35% from 54.81%. For the first time in five years, women's employability (54%) surpassed men's (51.5%).

Computer Science (80%) and IT engineers (78%) showed the highest employability. The gig economy grew 38%, now comprising 16% of all positions. Hiring intent rose to 40% for FY27. India holds 16% of global AI talent, expected to reach 1.25 million professionals by 2027. 92.8% of students seek internship opportunities.
