In February 2026, Rajasthan emerged as a top performer in the States' Electricity Transition Report 2026, ranking among the strongest states in the Market Enablers category for its updated renewable energy policies, green tariff adoption, and solar-hour-aligned Time-of-Day (ToD) electricity tariffs. Rajasthan, which has one of India's largest installed solar capacities, has been aggressively pushing both solar energy infrastructure and EV adoption under its Rajasthan Electric Vehicle Policy 2022.

Additionally, on February 24, 2026, the Public Works Departments (PWDs) of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan — along with CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) and School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi — signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to implement a Standard Framework and Road Asset Management System (RAMS) for dust-free and sustainable urban roads in the National Capital Region (NCR). The initiative will cover approximately 1,747 km of roads in Rajasthan.

RAMS integrates real-time road condition monitoring, asset lifecycle management, and data-driven maintenance planning — reducing road dust that is a major contributor to air pollution in the NCR. For Rajasthan, this addresses infrastructure connectivity for districts bordering Delhi such as Alwar, Bharatpur, and Dholpur, while also strengthening the state's road asset management capacity in line with PM Gati Shakti's integrated infrastructure mandate.
