On October 18, 2025, coinciding with Dhanteras, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma transferred ₹717.96 crore directly to the bank accounts of 71.79 lakh farmers as the fourth instalment under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. This state-level scheme complements the central PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi.

The Rajasthan government enacted its version of the farmer support scheme on June 30, 2024, raising annual assistance from ₹6,000 to ₹8,000, with plans to increase it to ₹9,000 from 2025-26. The Direct Benefit Transfer ensures funds reach farmers' accounts without intermediaries. Rajasthan also recently allocated ₹850 crore for 50,000 new agricultural electricity connections and approved the Gopal Credit Card Yojana providing interest-free loans of up to ₹1 lakh for dairy farmers.
