India delivered its National Statement at the Leaders' Summit of COP30 in Belem, Brazil, reiterating its commitment to climate action based on Common but Differentiated Responsibilities (CBDR-RC). COP30 ran from November 10-21, 2025, with India's statement delivered ahead of the opening.

India highlighted that between 2005 and 2020, it reduced GDP emission intensity by 36%, and non-fossil power now exceeds 50% of installed capacity, reaching the revised NDC target five years early. Over 122 countries submitted new NDCs. COP30 adopted the Belem Package, and India's carbon emissions rose only 1.4% in 2025, down from 4% growth in 2024. Rajasthan leads India in solar energy capacity, making the state central to India's renewable commitments.
