POCSO Implementation in Rajasthan

9.1 Fast Track Special Courts

Rajasthan has established Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs) across all districts specifically for POCSO cases — part of the national scheme with central funding. The state has experienced a significant rise in POCSO registrations as awareness increases.

9.2 SJPU (Special Juvenile Police Unit)

Rajasthan police have SJPUs at district level — child welfare police officers (often women) who handle POCSO cases in a child-friendly manner.

9.3 POCSO e-Box

The POCSO e-Box is an online complaint mechanism operated by NCPCR where children, parents, and others can report sexual offences directly — linked to the concerned district police.

9.4 Rajasthan Statistics

NCRB data consistently shows Rajasthan among the top 5 states in POCSO registrations — largely due to better reporting, not necessarily higher incidence. This reflects growing awareness of the Act.
