Topic 75 covers two of the most dramatic geological phenomena — earthquakes and volcanoes — linked by their common origin: energy from Earth's interior escaping through the rigid lithosphere.

Over the 6-year PYQ record, this topic yielded 10 marks at 2.0 avg/year, appearing in 2018 and 2021. The PYQ directly tested the Circum-Pacific Belt (Ring of Fire) — the most likely sub-area to reappear in 2026.
