Tijara Jain Tirth
Tijara town hosts the Shri Chandraprabhu Digambar Jain Atishaya Kshetra, where a fifteen-inch white-marble idol of the eighth Tirthankara, Chandraprabhu, anchors a hilltop temple complex; the principal idol bears an inscription dated Vikram Samvat 1554 (1497 CE), and the modern shrine grew after a recovery of Jain images in 1956 and a further discovery in 1972, making Tijara one of the most-visited Digambar pilgrimage sites in eastern Rajasthan.
Tijara Fort-Palace
The Tijara Fort-Palace, originally a Parmar Rajput stronghold later associated with the Khanzada chiefs of Mewat and finally re-conceived in 1835 by Maharaja Balwant Singh of Alwar in memory of Moosi Rani, sits on a ridge above Tijara town; left unfinished in 1845, the Rajput-Afghan-style palace with its Rani Mahal, Mardana wing and Hawa Mahal was restored as a heritage hotel and remains the headline built-heritage landmark of the new Khairthal-Tijara district.
Mewati Folk Tradition
Khairthal-Tijara forms part of the historic Mewat region, and Mewati - an Indo-Aryan tongue with sub-dialects such as Kather, Bhayana and Khari Mewati - remains the second-most-spoken language in the district after Hindi, with about 12.7 percent of residents speaking it; the Mewati oral tradition carries Sufi-tinged ballads, the women's lament-form Hichki sung in remembrance of departed loved ones, and shared Hindu-Muslim folk repertoires that distinguish the district's culture from neighbouring Dhundhar and Shekhawati.
